W IS FOR WEDGIE

Murder by Wedgie

This is one of the oddest discoveries, but I couldn't pass it by. The wedgie has long been the bully's favorite mode of torture. But to a kill someone with a wedgie, well, here's the story:

Brad Davis admitted to murdering his stepfather with an atomic wedgie. The victim was found dead with his underwear over his head and the waistband around his neck. You can follow the first link for the full story and the second link for pictures of idiots demonstrating their techniques. View at your own risk.

I have to wonder if these folks know these pictures are on the web.
Do you know of a murder weapon that starts with W and is crazier than a wedgie?

Another option for W was Murder by Woman. While men still kill more prolifically, women seem to be changing from the more intimate murder to the less personal.
Amy Bishop took a gun to a conference at the University of Alabama and allegedly killed three colleagues and wounded three others. This article is asking the questions, has women's liberation made an impact on how and why women kill?

Which sounds more realistic – death by wedgie or the possibility of a female mass murderer?

  1. That sounds really weird to me. But women killing has been going on for ever and although once poison was considered a woman's weapon, in this day and age, it's not surprising they have branched out.

  3. Murder by wedgie. I would not have thought of that in a million years.

Murder by Whip, Murder by Water, Murder by WIne maybe, but never wedgie. I'm still torn between being horrified at your example and laughing at the general concept.

  4. I think a woman mass murderer is totally feasible, and I'm surprised that we haven't had a few in recent years, unless of course you'd like to include suicide bombers, because that is effectively what they are, and there have been some women.

  5. It sure is good to be back – nice feasts for the mind here! Already there have been so many female serial killers going back even to the 1500’s (Elizabeth Bathory) that any aspiring wedgie killers will never catch up! For my 2013 NaNo project I did a bit of research on women serial killers, especially on a more modern serial killer, Aileen Wuornos, and my overall, simplified take is that it has nothing to do with women’s lib and everything to do with psychopathy. (Wedgies indeed, pfft!) Good stuff, Yolanda : )

  7. Hi Yolanda,

A female cereal killer. Yep, she could murder a bowl of corn flakes.

    Take care, dear Yolanda.
