Known as "The Beast"
Luis Garavito confessed to killing 140 children over a 5 year period in
Colombia. But he's suspected of murdering more than 300. Because the maximum
sentence in Columbia is 40 years and because Luis helped recover the bodies of
some of his victims he could be released as early as 2021.
During a recent interview,
Garavito discussed his intent for a political career. He professed a desire to
help abused children. A man or rather a beast who would gain his victims trust
with money, torture, rape, and then dismember their bodies.
