A = ATKINS

FYI!
The posts for this A to Z Challenge are all about serial killers.
The most prolific, and from other countries, not just the U.S.
The numbers of victims are numerous.
Many of the doers are still alive.
Some of them are no longer in prison.

Other countries have less stringent laws and the sad fact is that they've lost track of many of these men.

IS FOR BENJAMIN ATKINS

Known as the Woodward Corridor Killer, Benjamin Atkins killed 11 women. Atkins raped, strangled, and then dumped his victims in vacant buildings in Detroit, Michigan in the early 1990's.

He was sentenced to eleven life sentences. He died in prison of an infection.

  1. Ooh, he sounds nasty! Glad he's not with us anymore...But then, many nastier ones probably are.

    As usual, your themes and posts are completely spot on!

  2. Hello, I'm stopping by from the A-Z challenge. It's frightening to think about how humans are capable of such acts and how scared thier victims must have been. Good topic!

    1. Isn't it, lyndagrace? I agree, I always want to know the motivations. Some of the stories give that, but it just isn't enough to justify such horrors. Nice to meet you!

    1. Hi, Ruth, I know what you mean. It's the motivation, or excuses they give for it that interests me. Nothing can justify what these men do! Nothing!
