Christopher Mhlengwa Zikode, the Donnybrook Serial Killer was convicted of 8 counts of murder but it's assumed he committed at least 18.

He terrorized the small South African town of Donnybrook by entering households, shooting all male members and kidnapping the women.

Arrested for attempted murder he got out on bail and committed more crimes. But his final sentence was 140 years in prison. As far as I know he is still there.

Yavuz Yapicioglu, nicknamed the Screwdriver Killer, is a serial killer and arsonist from Turkey. He killed 18 people in Turkey but is thought to be responsible for at least 40 victims.

As far as I could discover he is still in prison.

X IS FOR YANG XINHAI

Yang Xinhai known as the Monster Killer is China's most prolific serial killer. He confessed to committing 65 murders and 23 rapes.

Under the cover of night he entered homes and killed his victims using axes, meat cleavers, hammers & shovels.

He was executed by firing squad in 2004.

W IS FOR RANDALL WOODFIELD

Randall Brent Woodfield called the I-5 Killer, was a 1974 NFL Draft pick of the Green Bay Packers. Convicted of three murders but suspected of 44 he is currently serving a life sentence in the Oregon State Penitentiary. 

Ann Rule wrote his story.

V IS FOR JOSE ANTONIO RODRIGUEZ VEGA

Nicknamed The Old Lady Killer Jose Antonio Rodriquez Vega raped and killed at least 16 elderly woman in revenge against a mother who threw him out after he beat his terminally ill father.

He was known as a cold methodical killer and collector of mementos.

His charm was so influential they lowered his prison term from 27 years to 8 years. Once released from prison he began killing again and was sentenced to 440 years. Stabbed to death in prison he died in 2002.

Johann "Jack" Unterweger, an Austrian, was convicted of murder but gained his release as a rehabilitation example in 1974. But he kept killing, at least 11 more women died.

During this time, he became a journalist and was asked to write about the differences between U. S. and European attitudes toward prostitution. During his time in Los Angeles, and while investigating his story the police escorted him through the red light district. He killed three LA prostitutes.

Austrian police finally figured him for their unsolved murders and ordered his arrest. He escaped but they finally caught him and sentenced him to life in prison without possibility of parole.

That night, he committed suicide by hanging. It's reported that he used an intricate knot identical to that found during the murders. He died before he could appeal the verdict, and under a technicality of Austrian law, Unterweger is officially innocent.

T IS FOR SERHIY TKACH

In 2005, a Ukrainian police officer, Serhiy Tkach, was finally arrested for the rape and murder of as many as 100 your women over a span of 21 years. Because of his knowledge of police investigations, he'd managed to cover his tracks and pin his crimes on others. Nine different men were arrested for his murders and went to prison, one committed suicide, and another was just released in 2012.

While Tkach asked for the death penalty, but was sentenced to life in prison, where he is now.

But for how long?

We can only hope!

William Lest Suff, known as the Lake Elsinore Killer, was convicted of 12 murders but is believed to have killed at least 22 woman. Convicted of the shaking death of his baby girl he was sentenced to 70 years but was released after 10.

Considered mild mannered he delivered supplies to the task force investigating his killing spree. He is alleged to have used a woman's body part in a chili contest he entered in Texas. (I'm hoping this isn't fact!)

Suff is sitting on death row at San Quentin State Prison.

Known as 'The Green River Killer,' Gary Ridgway targeted sex workers in the Seattle area. Suspected of killing over 90 victims he confessed and was convicted of killing 49.

"Later in a statement, Ridgway said that murdering young women was his career."

He's serving a life sentence.

Wang Qiang, is known as one of the most notorious murderers and rapists in China. He killed 45 or more women.

A necrophiliac he was executed in 2005 at the age of 30.

A Russian policeman, Mikhail Viktorovich Popkov, also known as 'The Wednesday Murderer' after the day most of the bodies were found is responsible for at least 22 deaths. He'd pick up the slightly intoxicated woman in his police car and uniform and take them to the forest where he raped, axed, stabbed, or strangled them to death. He also dismembered a few of his victims.

He was convicted for 22 murders in 2015 and was sentenced to life in prison. But does life in prison mean life in prison?

Please keep this man incarcerated!
